Jeff JarrettJeff Jarrett Promotion – One Step Up

I don't know what it is he's doing, but I don't care. I'll be following Jeff Jarrett's next moves very closely. I was the same way when he launched TNA. Any new promotion is exciting for me, and I like cheering for underdogs. This will be no different.

For those of you mocking the idea Jeff Jarrett might start another wrestling promotion, you're probably the type to look at Jeff's run with TNA as a failure. It wasn't even close to a failure. Jeff Jarrett (with the help of his father) created a viable wrestling company from the ground up. Dixie's involvement and subsequent buyout wwew literally the best options for business at the time.

Attempting to start a wrestling company in the last 15 years is ballsy. Many would call it crazy, insane, impossible. Jeff's likely to be doing it TWICE.

Did Jeff make mistakes with TNA? Sure. I can only imagine he'd be the very first person to tell you that he did. Trial by fire and life moves on. The necessity of bringing Dixie into the fold ended up being something he couldn't escape in the end, thus he found a way to legally move on and start fresh.

Starting fresh just might be the best thing too. TNA might have over a decade of weathering the storm, the infrastructure, the following, the TV, etc…but it also has the stench of complacency and mediocrity lingering over its head. That's not a slight on TNA either — I'm a fan — but it's true. Jeff's new venture, whatever it is, has the luxury of a clean slate. That means something.

The fact it has the luxury of Toby Keith's $320 million net worth too..well, that's just a bonus.
