Wrestlezone’s Top Ten: Matches You Won’t See at WrestleMania This Year

#8 – AJ Lee vs. Literally Anyone

aj leeI know this might seem a bit redundant, but AJ Lee is basically a more attractive form of Mark Henry at the moment. She's the longest reigning Divas Champion in history (six years), and within spitting distance of the top ten WWE Women's Championship reigns too. Unfortunately, and this is where the Mark Henry comparison comes in, WWE has completely left her out in the cold, to the point where I barely care about her, the title, or the 289-day reign. Whether or not it has anything to do with CM Punk, or simply the way in which WWE has booked women over the last decade, I won't speculate further.

BUT IT'S OK because at WrestleMania AJ gets to face off against literally the entire Divas roster at the same time. Twelve women, one match, one fall to a finish. Just your typical Fatal-12-Way.

There's so many things they could have done with AJ this year – too bad all of them require creativity and somebody in the writer's room that cares about her. And to be fair, AJ has sold this entire match like a champ. She seems genuinely frightened to lose the belt, and the impending break-up between her and Tamina does add an actual storyline component to the match. But does anybody actually think 12 Divas in one ring at the same time will result in anything but a terrible match?

Matches that could have happened include Naomi, Natalya, NXT Women's Champion Paige, and the new Hall of Famer Amy "Lita" Dumas. I mean come on – who wouldn't want to see one of the best female workers ever go one more time at WrestleMania? Plus, the marks would love watching CM Punk's past and present beat the hell out of each other.
