The Lackluster Matches of Smackdown Continue
Alexander Rusev defeated R-Truth
Once again, another squash for Mr. Rusev. Rusev is a really good athlete who is going to get an opportunity. I am just nervous that he is going to be overshadowed by Adam Rose, Bo Dallas and many more young stars. His look is not really made for the 21st century. He would thrive for 20 years ago, even 30.
Santino Marella defeated Fandango
Another wasted segment with another feud that does not have any importance whatsoever. WWE really is taking a break from creativity and importance tonight.
Batista defeated Sheamus
The main event of Smackdown was pretty solid. Sheamus and Batista are very similar talents in the ring, although Sheamus is much quicker and smoother in the ring. He hits a running knee to Batista. As we get back from break, Batista is in control with some clotheslines and body slams. Batista hits a dropkick to his knees to send him into the corner. Sheamus ducks a splash into the corner and hits chops to his chest. Sheamus hits a Celtic Cross and sets up for a Brogue Kick. Batista rolls to the outside and hits Sheamus in the back. Sheamus heads to the top and Batista throws him in the ropes. He hits a Batista Bomb for the win.
WWE Smackdown lacked main event talent. There was only two matches with importance. They did not have Wyatt's, Shield, Orton, Cena, Bryan, Cesaro, Swagger and many more important pieces to build a show. That is why this was a very poor show.
WWE Smackdown Score: 3/10
