Title This: WWE Raw Reaction “The Whole World in His Hands”

Daniel Bryan Returns to WWE Raw

wwe raw reactionDaniel Bryan came out to kick off WWE Raw. Brie Bella, his wife, was in the ring chanting yes. Stephanie McMahon immediately came out and said Kane will face Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules. Out came Kane and Brie Bella ran off. Daniel Bryan got dominated by Kane, getting hit with Tombstones onto the steel steps and on the announce table. Bryan is taken out on a stretcher.

Well, WWE certainly made the champion look completely vulnerable. Daniel Bryan is going to be the champion that always has to overcome the obstacles. That is logical and simple booking. WWE knows that the better story is Bryan as an underdog, even though he is champion. Kane looked dominant and did himself a big favor by controlling the offense tonight. WWE did not drag it out too much, either, so my interest was not stopped. They need a stipulation for Extreme Rules, but what should it be?

The Shield and Evolution Talk Extreme Rules

Both trios talk about how good they really are. The Shield fires shots at Evolution, who are dressed in suits and dress shirts. Evolution laughs and does not take it seriously. Batista says that they do not know what they have gotten themselves into. The Shield try to head up the ramp, but all the heels protect Evolution.

It was an alright segment. They do not need physicality until the PPV, so teasing it makes plenty of sense. I just wanted to see something more from The Shield. Rollins was stellar on the microphone. He is very underrated in that aspect. Next week needs to have some big impact. The match already feels important.

John Cena Battles The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family controls John Cena for much of the match. Harper gets into the ring and rakes away at his eyes. Wyatt dances with Cena in the ring and clotheslines him. Rowan gets his action in the ring and hits an impressive fallaway slam. Bray Wyatt takes Cena down and sings to the crowd. Rowan enters the ring again and works on the neck of Cena. Finally, John Cena gets to his feet. Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment onto Bray Wyatt. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attack Cena and the bell rings.

It seemed like the ending was very slow and methodical, but it was not executed well enough for me. Bray Wyatt was fantastic, but what did this ending prove? It proved that three guys can beat John Cena. We have seen this time and time again, but John Cena needs to do more here. Bray is carrying too much of the promos. Wait, isn't that a good thing? I assume I am not used to it. Anyways, there needed to be a little more than just singing. It was creepy and good, but it seemed a little off.
