Reward Quality

natalyaCharlotte (Ashley Flair) and Natalya (Neidhart) had, by anyone’s estimation, a brilliant women’s match during the NXT Takeover show. Dusty Rhodes called it “the best ladies’ match I have seen.” Not exactly hard times.

WWE should show highlights of Charlotte vs. Natalya on Raw, noting that Charlotte is Ric Flair’s daughter.

Then WWE should formulate an angle between the two, and put the feud on Raw.

Face it, almost everything on Raw is crap. Even some of the things with potential are flawed. For example, will the individual members of The Shield still be as over once they’re split up? It never really worked with The Freebirds.

But the main reason Charlotte and Natalya should take their feud to Raw is: THEY EARNED IT. WWE should reward quality.

You can hear crickets chirp when “The Authority” talks. Evolution is so 10 years ago. Rusev is clichéd foreign monster nonsense. F Bo Dallas. F Alicia Fox. And then we have the tale of the tail: F El Torito.

Charlotte vs. Natalya couldn’t possibly be worse than most of Raw.

NXT is supposed to be a breeding ground for Raw. NXT is supposed to be a minor league for Raw. Let NXT live up to that.

Charlotte certainly earned promotion to the big leagues. Natalya certainly earned better than her current lot with WWE.

If there’s no positive fallout resulting from that match, then everybody in NXT is just jerking off. It doesn’t matter what you do. All that matters is WWE’s perception, which is so often flawed. It’s about who you are, and who you work out with. You can have a brilliant, breathtaking, groundbreaking match on a HUGE SHOW (at least as far as WWE Network is concerned) and it doesn’t matter.

NXT and that big training center won’t mean dookie. It’s all just an expensive front for WWE doing what it wants, whenever it wants, because the McMahons own the industry.

For now. I wonder if Lemelson Capital saw the Charlotte-Natalya match?

Is WWE really going to make Tyson Kidd into a luchador? If you want a luchador, hire a luchador. Just not Mistico. Kidd is an excellent talent with a great look, tremendous dedication and unmatched respect for the business. He trained at the Hart Dungeon, FFS. If WWE can’t find something positive to do with him, that speaks of the company’s creative shortcomings and not anything else.

Just keep trotting Los Matadores out there. Or Los Conquistadores. Whatever.
