If this got anyone excited for tonight, you may have a slight problem. They had an entertaining match last month because of how many outside weapons were used. El Torito and Hornswoggle are all dizzy from the big swing. 3MB try to get involved, but they head under the ring. Los Matadores and 3MB get involved. Four men are taken down on the outside and Hornswoggle wants to head outside. Drew McIntyre flies to the outside and Hornswoggle throws himself to the outside. Slater gets a Hurricanranna from Torito and the small guys head back inside. El Torito finally ends the ridiculous match.
Thankfully, 3MB and Los Matadores hit a few big moves and are able to get some spotlight on them. Let's hope this ends his horrible experiment. I have seen worse, but not much worse.
Sheamus defeated Cesaro To Retain the WWE United States Championship
A physical match between two heavyweights is always a great way to start off the main card. Cesaro and Sheamus exchange blows back and forth, while Cesaro takes control after a deadlift suplex. Sheamus gets back on the offensive with three knee drops from the second rope. Cesaro hits two uppercuts and gets a close count. He hits a double underhook slam for a two count. Back and forth we go, as both men really work the other over. Sheamus sets up a Brogue Kick but Cesaro hits a German Suplex. Sheamus hits White Noise and gets another two count. Sheamus locks in a Texas Cloverleaf and Cesaro reaches to the rope. Cesaro brings out the Cesaro Swing, but Sheamus rolls him up for the surprise win.
Okay, this was a fun match to watch. Either way you book it, Cesaro looked stronger than ever. His loss does more for him because a mid-card title would bring him down a notch. He has more future championships, World Championships, in his future than Sheamus. Credit to Sheamus for really bringing the noise as well. He and Cesaro could headline big events in the future. Bash Sheamus' gimmick, but he knows how to work a match. Well done for both guys.
