This was a pretty solid match with Rollins debuting new ring gear. I really liked it because it made him look larger than life, much like a superhero. Rollins and Kofi was a quick and efficient match that showcased the athletic ability of Rollins. This was a basic match where Kofi got a few offensive moves and would miss a big splash and Rollins hit his finisher.
I want to see Rollins against A+ competition, not a C+ guy. If you want to make Rollins important and a star, book him against guys like Wyatt's, Shield, Cena and more on a consistent basis. Ambrose needed to come out and attack, but he did not. Ambrose should have attacked and then cut a promo in the ring. Look at the pop he got from the crowd in Cleveland. Continue that, it is simple booking.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Bad News Barrett
I was surprised to see Ziggler pick up the win, but I really like it. Barrett is being booked as a heel, even though fans cheer him. How do you make him hated? Give him someone everyone loves, who is Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler rolls up Barrett after some mounted punches and a powerbomb, which means that this feud will continue. This is BEST FOR BUSINESS.
Adam Rose defeated Titus O'Neil
This was not really a match more than what they have been doing at house shows. Rose gets the crowd pop from his catchy song and then does a little offense in the ring. Rose rolls him up for the quick win.
Do we really want to see Rose booked like this? If WWE wants a very PG gimmick like this to get over, he is going to have to do what people know he can do. Rose needs to showcase his wrestling abilities.
Big E defeated Jack Swagger
There was about 5-6 moves in this match, with E hitting a clothesline and a Big Ending for the win. This seemed very odd to be placed on Smackdown. Both guys deserve much more, more time and more development. I really scratch my head wondering what they are doing with both guys. No stories and no level of importance right now.
Bo Dallas defeated Fandango
Summer Rae and Fandango continue their love story with Layla involved. Bo Dallas is in the ring place at the right time. He hits Bo-Dog for the win and then tells Fandango that there are plenty of fish in the sea and hugs him.
Whether you like Dallas or not, he is really trying right now. You cannot help but chuckle a little bit when he talks. He is so cheesy that it comes off entertaining to me. The segment did more for Summer Rae and Layla than anyone else, but Dallas' running lap and his promo stole the segment for me. They need to have Summer Rae vs. Layla at Money in the Bank. The winner gets Fandango.
