Gold and Stardust defeated Big Show and Mark Henry
Stardust gets beaten down from the very beginning. Henry and Show have a little fun at Stardust’s expense. Big Show tags himself in and Mark Henry gets upset. Big Show hits a suplex and then tries to apply an ankle lock onto Goldust. Henry gets in and clotheslines Stardust. He gets chopped down at the knee and both brothers split leg Henry. Goldust hits a slap and then begins to kick him over and over again.
Stardust gets back into the ring and Henry gets kicked in the face. Henry gets taken to the corner and tags himself in once again. Big Show wins the Knockout Punch and Henry gets into the ring. He hits the World’s Strongest Slam to Big Show and puts Stardust on to cover him. He hits his finisher two more times on Big Show.
Mark Henry turns heel on Big Show and was something that I thought would happen last night. I am in favor of Mark Henry as a heel. He is so much better as a heel because he knows how to work a crowd. Some of his best work was as a heel and being a World Champion. He needs to be ruthless and a machine. He will shy away from Rusev and focus on Big Show. This feud does not have many miles on it, but it could be a battle of the giants for a month or two. I would love to see Henry in a suit and in The Authority. I think that would be a nice piece to a heel stable that lacks big men. (I do not count Kane anymore as a big man or a threat) This is a step in the right direction for Henry, even if the turn seemed a bit flat.
AJ Lee Retains The Divas Championship
Alicia Fox starts off fast with some elbow shots to her face. She hits a dropkick and then AJ rolls to the outside. Fox locks in a head lock and AJ punches out of it. Fox hits another running elbow and gets a two count. AJ counters with a spinning DDT. She kicks Fox and then Fox hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Paige yells at Fox and tells her to win. Fox gets rolled up from behind and AJ Lee keeps her Divas Championship.
Alicia Fox could be the most underrated Diva in the ring. She has such a smooth delivery in the ring, as well as freakish athleticism. Paige and Fox, both acting crazy, look at each other in the ring. Paige hits a big kick and then tosses Alicia Fox to the outside. She throws her into the barricade.
Paige stands tall, which is the right thing. I am all for this feud, but I wish there was a title attached to it. Without that, they will not be a really big payoff. AJ Lee does not need the championship to be in a prevalent storyline. These two Divas do. PUSH ALICIA FOX!
