Nikki Bella Becomes Number 1 Contender

smackdown reaction Smackdown starts with a Divas Halloween Battle Royal. It was a pretty sloppy one at that and one that I could care less about. I found it interesting that WWE makes the winner of this ridiculous gimmick battle royal match gets a championship match.

I would much rather see an extended tournament, one that takes a few weeks on Raw, Main Event and Smackdown to feature the Divas. I want to see them be utilized to their fullest, not to their least.

Nikki is the right call to win because she is the best natural heel they have. Even though she isn’t the best in the ring, there needed to be a change from another AJ vs. Paige match.

Kane defeated Dolph Ziggler

Kane and Dolph Ziggler put on a pretty basic, yet entertaining match. Ziggler is in control after the commercial break and hits a big DDT. Ziggler gets a close two count and Kane kicks out. Ziggler goes for a splash into the corner and is caught in mid air. Kane chokeslams Ziggler for the win.

You may not love Ziggler losing clean to Kane here, but it makes sense. They continue to beat him up after the match and sends a message to not team with John Cena. Kane starts another match for Dolph Ziggler and it will be against Seth Rollins. Rollins hits a Curb Stomp and that is all for Ziggler. Good story building from WWE here. They will punish guys who want to team with John Cena or associate them with him. It will ultimately come down to the guys that get beaten up by The Authority and want revenge. This makes sense and I like it. This does more for Ziggler than the IC Title would do.

Ryback Gets Another Squash

Another night and another quick match for Ryback. There is not much to note here besides WWE doing the same thing for Ryback as they did a few years ago. They are desperate for faces and Ryback was good… for a little bit. They need to strip him down and let him connect with the crowd. He should not be this machine man, who talks very monotone and slow. Let him sprinkle his personality in there and maybe work on enhancing his skill set in the ring. He can’t do just a few moves anymore.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school.
