Rusev Can Wrestle With Anyone

Smackdown Reaction Rusev picks up a win against Dolph Ziggler to kick off Smackdown. I liked this match, even though it was stripped down very simplistically. Ziggler hits a Zig Zag and only gets a two count. Rusev hits a flapjack and then a big superkick to pick up the win.

Rusev has wrestled men of all shapes and sizes. Many people love to compare him to guys who have failed in the “anti-American” gimmick in the past. He is nothing like these guys. Rusev is extremely agile and athletic for a guy who pushes 300 pounds. He is not a tall and muscular guy like Vladimir Kozlov, but his strength is just as good.

He has a bland look, which hurts him a little. I hate his hair and think he could look so much better with a shaved head. He goes from Big Show, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger and now guys like Dolph Ziggler. He can keep up with the fastest and not look weak against the biggest. Will he be the lone survivor on Sunday? No, but I wouldn’t hate if he did.

Los Matadores defeated The Miz and Damien Mizdow

Fernando and Miz start off fast with some quick moves off of the ropes. Mizdow gets knocked from the apron by Fernando and then wants in the match. Mizdow tags himself in and knocks him to the ground. The Miz tags himself in and tries for a Skull Crushing Finale. Fernando tries to hit a baseball slide and The Miz sidesteps him. He throws him into Jimmy and Jey Uso, who are on commentary, but ends up getting reversed into them. Mizdow crashes himself into Gold and Stardust, while Diego rolls up Miz and picks uo the win.

What can you say about this match aside from wow. It was very spotty and seemed extremely rushed. There was not much focus on wrestling. I like Damien Mizdow, but they have to be careful that he can still be taken seriously in the tag team division with The Miz. He cannot just be the comedy act. That is such a waste of time and talent.

There needs to be a balance between comedy and entertainment and pure wrestling. He is a better overall wrestler than The Miz. Let him and Miz win the titles on Sunday or in the near future. The only problem is that the Dust Brothers are supposed to be heels. Miz is much better as a heel and should not be a face. We have seen that disaster before. Who wins on Sunday? I can only make a strong case for Miz and Mizdow and the champions retaining.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
