Dolph Ziggler Enters The Rumble

wwe smackdown Barrett hits Dolph in the corner and then Dolph hits a dropkick for a quick count. Barrett counters and throws Ziggler into the ring post, taking control of the match. Barrett continues the assault and then Dolph escapes with a DDT. We head to a commercial break and then Dolph is hung up in the ropes from Barrett.

Dolph moves from a corner splash and Barrett goes into the post. Ziggler connects with a nice neckbreaker and hits some show-off elbow drops. Barrett tries for a Bullhammer, but Dolph kicks him and then hits a Zig Zag for the win.

Smooth match and a really good opening to Smackdown. The show started with Daniel Bryan and the returning superstars. Dolph, Rollins and Bryan really do well on the mic and spin off of the others’ personality traits. I just do not know why WWE quickly made Barrett a face and then back to a heel. He could be REALLY good as a face and could become more than just a mid card champion. Barrett and Dolph could be a great feud at a higher level, but I enjoy seeing them work right now for a title that should have more meaning.

Ryback vs. Rusev

This match what was you expected. Ryback hits some shoulder blocks and Rusev rolls to the outside. Rusev hits some kicks and then Ryback sends him to the outside again. Rusev clotheslines him to the outside and then Ryback comes back with a side suplex. Ryback gets going with some punches and then unloads a kick. He hits a scoop slam and then gets a two count. Ryback hits another powerslam and both men are down.

Rusev ends up kicking Ryback in the stomach and in the head while he is on the top rope. Ryback hits a spinebuster and looks to hit a Meathook Clothesline. Rusev rolls to the outside and Ryback heads to him, connecting with punches and knees to his stomach. Rusev is driven into the barricade. Ryback gets back into the ring and beats the count, which makes him eligible for the Royal Rumble match.

It was certainly one of Ryback’s better matches and it continues the feud for both men. I would not mind another month or two, finally giving Ryback a championship to carry. I think it would do more for him right now than Rusev. Rusev has gotten to a point where he needs a main event guy to work with, if WWE wants him to be this dominant heel. They desperately need him to become that, while Ryback would be a really good mid card champion right now.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
