Roman Reigns vs The Big Show…Again

wwe raw The Big Show tosses Roman Reigns around the ring and then Reigns comes back with some clotheslines. Big Show hits a spear and gets a two count. Big Show tries for a chokeslam and Reigns battles out. Reigns knocks down Noble and hits Show with a Superman Punch. Seth Rollins hits Reigns with the briefcase in the kidneys. Big Show picks up the win.

Wow. The first 35 minutes of the show is completely illogical. Royal Rumble takes second fiddle to history, logic and all common sense. They could have done so much more. The announcement was that Rollins vs. Bryan tonight, with the winner fighting Roman Reigns at Fast Lane for a chance to fight Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Why not a tournament? A King of the Ring to crowd a new contender? I am all for having the other main event guys be in meaningful matches.

Why not have this: Rollins vs. Orton, Ziggler vs. Bryan, and Cena vs. Rusev and the winners fight each other in a Triple Threat Contenders match later in the night at WrestleMania? You can still have the story of Sting, Undertaker, a championship match and many more. With Lesnar gone after Mania (most likely) this would be great for a new contender to be named that night. It helps you forget about Lesnar, if he leaves.

Dean Ambrose’s Next Feud

Curtis Axel comes out and says he wants Brock Lesnar. Dean Ambrose comes out and tosses him over the ropes, saying he is finally eliminated. Ambrose calls out Bad News Barrett and his Intercontinental Championship. Axel comes back in to attack and Ambrose is able to hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

It looks like we are getting a feud with Dean Ambrose vs. Bad News Barrett. As a fan, I like this. As a writer, I really am not sure this is the right call. It COULD do good things for a championship that has not gotten much storyline attention over the past few months. I am skeptical because WWE always tries to make it important, but they always fall flat. Maybe Dean Ambrose is the guy to get this done. Maybe his creativity and Barrett’s mic work can actually give us a really good IC Title feud. There are plenty of maybe’s thrown around. I want something important. We all want the title to have meaning. Hopefully I am proven wrong and this gets the attention it deserves.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
