STEP UP: Randy Orton

“The Viper” returned to WWE at Fastlane and made an immediate impact, taking out the Authority en route to Seth Rollins. On Raw, Orton opened the show and cut what I thought was one of his best promos in a few years.
The time off seems to have sparked something in the 12-time world champion, who appears rested and energized for his upcoming match at WrestleMania.
I gotta say, while the opening monologue was stellar, and didn’t dig the booking towards the end of the show. Orton began the night by saying “I will never forgive Seth Rollins”, then made up with the Authority and teamed with them in the main event. Logic dictated that it was a “swerve”, but the payoff never happened. It was all very anti-climactic.
