Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Words Speak Louder Than Actions”

When Brock Speaks, It Matters

Paul Heyman comes out with Brock Lesnar and talks about the attacks from Braun Strowman last week. Heyman is cutting his great promo, like usual, but Brock Lesnar grabs the mic. Brock says “What Paul is trying to say is Suplex City, b**ch.” The champion tosses the mic and walks out, sending an intense and powerful message in one sentence. We have not seen Lesnar take Strowman to suplex city, but we are going to see it in a few weeks. I was surprised Braun did not appear, but I am alright with it. Let Paul do his thing and making the decision of Brock Lesnar speaking to the live crowd means this is serious for him. You can see in his eyes (excellent acting) that Lesnar knows this is his toughest challenge. WWE is booking it that way, thankfully.

Swapping Victories

Seth Rollins took on Cesaro, while Dean Ambrose followed with a match against Sheamus. Both matches were solid with good build and a continued focus on the RAW Tag Team Championships. Trading wins is never a bad idea when you split tag teams up to complete in a singles bout, so that is exactly what they did tonight. Seth Rollins, while distracted, took a loss to Cesaro with a brutal uppercut and roll-up. Dean was able to gain retribution and pick up a win over Sheamus. As you continue to see the tag team division flourish, still remember that these two teams have another 1-2 matches in them.

If I am WWE, Give me a TLC Match with these two teams, Anderson and Gallows and The Hardy Boyz. Until that happens, I love the idea of keeping these teams thriving and exchanging non-title wins. It helps everyone remain relevant in a down time where more focus is on two big main events at No Mercy.

Emma defeated Mickie James

Did you hear? Emma started the Women’s Revolution. She did and nobody else. If she is being booked as an annoying heel, it worked on WWE RAW. I just hope we get a good feud with her that results in some great matches like the ones she put on in NXT. Mickie and Emma could have gotten 10 minutes and worked a solid match, but only got 3-4.
