Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Breaking The Fourth Wall Continues, But Is It Always a Good Thing?”

John Cena vs. Braun Strowman

Much like what we have seen on Smackdown Live, RAW gave us a main event suitable for Pay-Per-View. John Cena and Braun Strowman did battle on a solid bout with the monster continuing to showcase his speed and athleticism. The match would end with Strowman hitting a running Powerslam on John Cena right on top of the steel steps. He hit Cena with stairs on the outside, but there was no disqualification called. He hit him again and the bell rang, which made absolutely no sense to me. Aside from that glaring issue, I thought the  match came off just fine, keeping the fans wanting to see more of both men and a potential fight between them in 2018. There is no need to give us everything in one match on one night. It just does not make much sense to me.

Roman and John and Braun vs. Brock sells WWE RAW. The rest do their job, but these four are the guys that everyone is talking about. Smackdown Live might be a better show overall this week, but WWE RAW has the four most important men in the company right now.

MizTV Gives A Big Announcement

Before Enzo Amore interrupts MizTV, The Miz and Maryse announce that they are having a child. Much to the pleasure of the WWE Universe (realistically and not scripted), Maryse and Miz will be split apart for a while with the likes of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel picking up her slack. It should be interesting to see if The Miz can keep up without her by his side. She is such a valuable asset to his character. When Enzo came out, it was another roast. Miz buried his backstage heat, compared the two and said he re-branded himself. This led to a match, ending in a disqualification and was very surprised by it.

Instead of WWE giving The Miz a chance to find his next feud, they let him bury Enzo Amore. I hope this actually straightens out Amore, but I do think that there might be too much of this on a weekly basis now. Some things are better left unsaid and do not need to break the “fourth wall.” Let The Miz do something more meaningful because he deserves it, not because Enzo doesn’t. Who would you have The Miz feud with next? Give me your options @JoshIsenberg4 on Twitter.
