WWE Crown Jewel Confirmed To Still Take Place In Saudi Arabia

WWE Crown Jewel will continue as planned in Saudi Arabia next week, according to a statement in today’s third quarter earnings report.

WWE published the following:

WWE has operated in the Middle East for nearly 20 years and has developed a sizable and dedicated fan base. Considering the heinous crime committed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the Company faced a very difficult decision as it relates to its event scheduled for November 2 in Riyadh. Similar to other U.S.-based companies who plan to continue operations in Saudi Arabia, the Company has decided to uphold its contractual obligations to the General Sports Authority and stage the event. Full year 2018 guidance is predicated on the staging of the Riyadh event as scheduled

Tickets for the event were previously scheduled to go on sale last week, but the on-sale date was postponed without a reason announced. The WWE website has the event time still confirmed for next Friday afternoon starting at noon EST, but mentions of Saudi Arabia have not been added to the match preview at the time of this writing.

WWE Crown Jewel is scheduled to take place next Friday, November 2nd at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
