Drew McIntyre Destroys Kurt Angle, RAW Survivor Series Team Nearly Complete

WWE RAW Results

Monday Night RAW ended with a clearer sense of what the RAW men’s Survivor Series team would like and questions surrounding the future of Kurt Angle.

Earlier in the evening, acting general manager Baron Corbin announced the first three members to the RAW team, which included Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, and Braun Strowman. Strowman spent most of the evening chasing Baron down after Corbin cost him the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Crown Jewel. As a result, Corbin would replace himself with Drew McIntyre in the main event against Kurt Angle. The stipulation had that if Angle won, he would be the new team captain for Team RAW and replace Baron Corbin.

As it was Angle’s first official match in 12 years on RAW, it made for a big moment against a rising superstar in McIntyre. Drew would dominate him for a majority of the match, eventually breaking the Olympic Hero down with a Claymore Kick. Angle would try to fight back but he couldn’t continue even further and McIntyre would humiliate him, making him tap out to his own Ankle Lock. Angle would lay in the ring emotionless and completely defeated by a force of the future.

With this victory, Corbin secures his spot as the RAW Team Captain, as Angle contemplates his own future in the ring after a vicious beating. With one more slot open for the RAW team, it will be interesting to see who will be the final member heading into next week.
