Trent is on the mend.
AEW’s Trent posted an update on social media, revealing he successfully underwent neck fusion surgery. Posting an update from his hospital recovery room, Trent posted the following remarks:

Trent had been out of action since December 2020 due to a pectoral muscle injury. He made his on-air return (along with Kris Statlander) during the Arcade Anarchy match on March 31. He made his in-ring return the following week, but ended up sidelined once again and hasn’t worked a match since an April 21 Dynamite loss to Penta El Zero Miedo.
