Kenny Omega retained his IMPACT World Championship against Sami Callihan, but he ended the night looking at a possible challenger in New Japan’s Jay White.
Kenny Omega retained his title against Sami Callihan in a brutal no disqualification match in the main event of Slammiversary, then White made his way to the stage before confronting Omega in the ring. Omega, flanked by Don Callis, Karl Anderson and DOC Gallows, tried to show a sign of solidarity by throwing up the Too Sweet hand sign. Before White could react, the pay-per-view feed inexplicably cut out early, leaving fans at home wondering what had happened.
The show wasn’t quite done there, however, as fans in attendance revealed FinJuice ran down to the ring and attacked White, but he ended up hitting David Finlay with Blade Runner before getting to safety.

It’s unclear if White will be a friend or foe to Omega in IMPACT, but fans can expect at least one more battle between White and Finlay. White will defend his NEVER Openweight Championship against Finlay at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s upcoming live event at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 14.
