NJPW Strong Announces Upcoming Events In Philadelphia And Texas, Hiroshi Tanahashi To Compete At August Tapings

New Japan Pro-Wrestling made a handful of announcements on Wednesday, including the fact that the company extend its tour of the United States with two sets of tapings of NJPW Strong later this year.

First, the promotion announced that NJPW Strong will be coming to Fort Worth, Texas, with two tapings on September 25-26 as part of the “Autumn Attack” showcase. Tickets for the Texas event will go on sale on August 8, 2021.

NJPW Strong will also hold tapings in the famous 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on October 15-16 for “New Japan Showdown”. Tickets for these events will also go on sale on August 8, with many packages available for those interested.

Stars like Jay White, Lio Rush, Fred Rosser, and Tom Lawlor are advertised for the events. Rush retired earlier this year, but he recently announced that he is medically cleared. Previously, he stated that he intends to finish his dates with NJPW before he retires.

Finally, the company announced that both Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii will make their way to NJPW Strong; the two men are set to participate in the tapings on August 16 in Thunder Studios. A special video from Takahashi himself was also released, in which the renowned superstar discussed his upcoming debut.
