Matt Cardona wants to use his status as GCW Champion to fix the promotion, and he’s got a list of ways he can get that done.
Calling back to the list that Cody Rhodes penned after leaving WWE in 2016, Matt Cardona shared a list titled “Ways To Fix GCW” on social media. His suggestions include the following items:
- Create a new title
- Buy Brett a suit
- Hire a doctor
- No shower dodging
- Give John Carlo a raise
- Make Grim Reefer stop smoking indoors
- Get Nick Gage an action figure
- Fire that f-cking ring announcer mark
- Get Jimmy Lloyd another movie role
- No throwing pizza cutters at wrestlers
One of those list items can already be checked off, as Zombie Sailor recently announced they will produce Nick Gage’s first-ever action figure in their “Heels and Faces” line.

Matt Cardona spoke with WrestleZone ahead of IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view about how his post-WWE career has flourished, and how he still has plenty left in store for fans.
“So, when I got released last year, I was so excited to wrestle all these new people. I said it was like Christmas morning and I saw all these wrapped-up gifts and I wanted to unwrap them and wrestle all of these guys but we were in the middle of this global pandemic so there wasn’t really anywhere to go. There was nothing to really do, but now I feel like I’m finally doing it. Every week I’m wrestling somewhere different, I got IMPACT, and like you said, I got Nick Gage in GCW, I’m doing random indies,” Cardona explained, “I got the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast and now we have our own promotion, the FWF, there’s so much stuff and I’m super busy, it’s the best.
