Pat McAfee Tests Positive For COVID-19

Pat McAfee will be on the shelf for a while as he’s confirmed he has tested positive for COVID-19.

McAfee confirmed he tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday afternoon, posting the following statement on his Twitter account:

Fully Vax’d.

Very Positive.

Aht Indefinitely.

It’s miserable but thankful that my wife and the boys at the office all took tests and they are all negative..

This is obviously a sign from the universe, probably telling me that I stink & to stay home for a while.

I’ll see yinz

McAfee was absent from the Wednesday broadcast of his radio show and told his audience he was waiting for his test results. After the live portion of the show ended, McAfee confirmed the news on Twitter, noting that he’s fully vaccinated and still tested positive for COVID-19.

McAfee recently worked as a commentator for WWE SmackDown in Phoenix, as well as the SummerSlam pay-per-view in Las Vegas. As noted in his post, McAfee will be out “indefinitely” and will miss his scheduled SmackDown appearance in Little Rock, Arkansas. WWE has not yet commented on the matter or announced a replacement during McAfee’s absence.
