CM Punk Breaks Everyone’s Heart, Reveals He Doesn’t Drink Soda Anymore

CM Punk isn’t the ‘Pepsi Man’ you thought he was.

CM Punk was the latest guest on the AEW Unrestricted podcast and fielded some fan questions on the show. One of the more hard-hitting questions presented involved asking Punk, who has a Pepsi tattoo on his left arm, what he thought of the new mango-flavored Pepsi. Punk said he was about to break some hearts, then revealed he doesn’t actually drink soda anymore and prefers another carbonated beverage now.

“Pepsi Mango? I’m going to break a lot of hearts here — I don’t drink soda. Yeah, I can’t even tell you the last time I drank a soda. I’m that healthy dude [now]. Free shout-out to Spindrift. I’m not sponsored or anything, they occasionally send me free stuff, but Spindrift is what I drink,” Punk explained. “I drink water and I drink Spindrift. And Spindrift is just water flavored with fresh fruit. If you buy a lemon Spindrift, the ingredients are lemon and water, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, nothing that’s going to make you taste like you’re drinking medicine. It’s just fruit water, and it’s delicious and fizzy.”

Sticking with the hot topics, Punk was also asked what his go-to Chicago pizza spots were.

“My answer to this is — if you’re in Chicago and you have time to wait, because there’s always a wait, you go to Pequod’s. Pequod’s will give you the option of you can do the deep dish for tourists, they have thin crust and then they have a pan pizza, which is, in my opinion, the way to go,” he noted, “because it’s in between thin and deep and they have this caramelized crust, they use these cast-iron skillets and it’s awesome. When me and April are like, ‘let’s get a pizza,’ it’s Lou Malnati’s. They have delicious sauce, it’s never a super-long wait unless you’re crazy and trying to order at 9 o’clock on a Saturday night. Those are the go-to’s for me, those are very high-quality, very high-standard pizza operations.”
