ROH Roundup: Pure Title Match Announced, ‘Violence vs. Pure’ Bouts Set For Next Weekend

Ring of Honor is gearing up for a special “Violence vs. Pure” episode of ROH Wrestling next weekend.

In the latest edition of the Eck’s Files, staff member Kevin Eck announced that in the main event of this sh0w-long battle for stable supremacy, Homicide will face Jay Lethal. Homicide, a former ROH World Champion, will hope to score a big win for Violence Unlimited, but he’ll face a tall task in the form of “The Franchise” himself, who has been proudly carrying The Foundation’s flag for about a year now. These two veterans have a long history dating back to 2002, and they’ll add another chapter to this heated bout next weekend.

Elsewhere on the show, Brody King and Chris Dickinson of Violence Unlimited will wage war with Jonathan Gresham and Tracy Williams of The Foundation. Plus, in a battle between the two stables’ X factors, Violence Unlimited’s Tony Deppen will clash with The Foundation’s Rhett Titus. These matches could go a long way in swaying the balance of power in the heated stable warfare that continues to escalate in Ring of Honor.

Speaking of a fight between factions, this weekend’s episode of ROH Wrestling features a bitter clash between La Faccion Ingobernable and Shane Taylor Promotions. The Soldiers of Savagery (Moses and Kaun) will challenge Kenny King and Dragon Lee of LFI for their ROH World Tag Team Championship. Lee and King attacked Moses and Kaun following their victory over Dalton Castle and Dak Draper on last week’s episode.

Plus, ahead of the “Violence vs. Pure” episode, The Foundation will showcase their signature style of wrestling in an eight-man tag team match against Eli Isom, Taylor Rust, Joe Keys and World Famous CB.

Looking ahead to November, Eck revealed that Josh Woods will defend his Pure Championship for the first time on a special “Championship Edition” of ROH Wrestling. LSG will challenge Woods for the title he won at ROH Death Before Dishonor. Eck previously announced that Alex Zayne will challenge ROH World Champion Bandido on this same episode, though the specific date of the broadcast is currently unknown.
