CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston Announced For AEW Full Gear, Updated Card

CM Punk and Eddie Kingston have been feuding for two weeks now, and on Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage, things came to a head, as the two agreed to clash in the ring at AEW Full Gear.

On the November 5 episode of AEW Rampage, “The Mad King” and Punk had a face-to-face confrontation after tensions have rapidly risen between the two stars. As the first man out, Punk quickly demanded Kingston to come out and apologize to him for what happened last week, when “The Mad King” angrily got in his face.

Kingston’s music then hit, but no on came down and the music eventually faded. Punk then said that since Kingston wasn’t around on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, he might be skipping out once again, but that he’d keep talking in the hopes that his adversary would  just interrupt him.

At that point, that’s exactly what happened, as Kingston finally came down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. He explained that he’s different from Punk, and didn’t have to stab others in the back like Punk did to get where he was. Kingston then name-dropped several stars, including Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson, saying he was judged by everyone back in the day.

In response, “The Best in the World” said that they were right to judge him, as he was nothing but a “bum” back in the day. Clearly enraged, Kingston then challenged Punk to a match at AEW Full Gear, and Punk eventually accepted. Before they left the ring, though, Kingston said that when he beats him next weekend, Punk should lave AEW and “go away for another seven years.”

This comment clearly upset Punk, as “The Best in the World” headbutted Kingston to start a brawl between the duo. Various officials eventually came down to the ring and separated the two rivals them out.

A Falls Count Anywhere six-man tag team match between the SuperKliq (Adam Cole and The Young Bucks) and Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Christian Cage has also been added to the card for AEW Full Gear.

The updated lineup is as follows:

  • AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (C) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (C) vs. Tay Conti
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Lucha Bros. (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) (C) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)
  • AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament Final: Bryan Danielson vs. Miro
