WWE House Show Results (Macon, Georgia)

Report by WrestleZone.com reader Jeremy Bermel

Evan Bourne def. Dolph Ziggler

– Evan drew a good pop. Ziggler drew good heat. The crowd was pretty into it. Good match

– R-Truth came out after the match and wailed on Evan. Truth drew HEAVY heat. Rey Mysterio shot out to save Evan. Guest Host Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat then came out to announce that he was making a match for Truth vs. Mysterio later that night. Ricky got a great pop

Mason Ryan def. Primo

– Ryan drew great heat. Primo didn’t get much of a reaction. The crowd was not into this one, with some ‘This is boring’ chants breaking out. I thought Ryan looked great out there though, and it was a decent match to me

Chris Masters def. Zack Ryder

– Ryder drew a lot of heat. Definitely no Iced Z fans in this crowd. Chris Masters got a good pop, and defeated Ryder with The Master Lock

Kofi Kingston and Big Show def. CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio

– CM Punk came out to heavy heat. He worked the crowd great, arguing with a lot of fans and mocking their children.

ADR came out as usual, and drew a lot of heat… As usual. They were actually quite an entertaining tag team. Kofi Kingston got a good pop, but Show got one of the biggest pops of the night. Show gave Punk a wedgie during the match… Ugh. Kofi did most of the work on his team’s end. Very entertaining match, with Show pinning Punk at the end.

In-Ring Fan Contest

– Justin Roberts and Ricky Steamboat came out to promote WWE All-Stars. They then picked four fans from the crowd, and announced they were holding a dance contest, with the winner being able to meet their favorite SuperStar backstage. The winner predictably chose John Cena

INTERMISSION

Brie Bella with Nikki Bella def. Eve Torres for the Divas Championship

– Half of the crowd was still out on intermission, so no one was into this match that much until near the end. The twins used Twin Magic, and Brie retained her title. Kharma’s music hit and the Bellas ran out of the arena, with the ref following.

Kharma came out to a pretty good pop, and slammed Eve

Rey Mysterio def. R-Truth

– R-Truth came out to more heat than before, getting on the mic to tell the crowd to boo themselves. Rey came out to a huge pop. This match was really good, and the crowd was really into it

John Cena def. The Miz with Alex Riley for the WWE Championship

– The Miz came out with A-Ry and drew a huge amount of heat. Miz got on the mic and made a speech about how the people have never respected him and telling us about him technically winning the title back on RAW. He repremanded the ref, claiming the refs at WWE didn’t respect him either, and call shoddy matches. John Cena came out to the biggest pop of the night, but didn’t get on the mic. There was only one ‘Let’s go Cena, Cena sucks’ throughout the entire match, which was easily 15-20 minutes long. This was definitely a Cena town. It was almost the same match they had on Monday, except there was no question who won in the end

WrestleMania XXVII was my first live wrestling show and this was my first house show. The house show was actually really entertaining and actually a lot more fun the WM to me. Good show all around
