Nick Gage (real name: Nicholas Wilson), an independent wrestler best known for his work in CZW, has plead guilty to second-degree robbery, according to Patch.com. High on Oxycontin, homeless and broke, Wilson walked into a bank three days before last Christmas and walked out with $3,000.
Cameras captured a clear image of the robber and it was wrestling fans who recognized the resemblance between the man in the picture and the wrestler. In a January interview, Wilson said he didn’t realize how popular he was until that picture was posted.
Wilson is currently jailed in Camden County awaiting sentencing, set for April 29th.
