WWE RAW Results (2/28): The Rock Responds to Cena!

After the match, Michael Cole comes out to the arena to a chorus of boos. He is smiling as he walks towards King as says he will tell him about his Wrestlemania plans in just a moment. Cole gets in the ring and says he wants to do this man to man, and tells King to get his butt in the ring. Cole reminds him about the no touch policy, but says he looked into it and it just says that King can’t touch Cole or he’ll be fired, not the other way around. Cole says he isn’t scared and no one has more guts than him, and he doesn’t back down from a fight. Cole says his answer to the Wrestlemania challenge is no… unless King accepts two conditions. Cole wants his trainer to be allowed in his corner for the match, and he wants to pick the special referee.

King says he doesn’t care who Cole brings, his answer is yes. Cole gloats around the ring and laughs, and then introduces his trainer, none other than Jack Swagger! Swagger comes to the ring and hugs Cole, then gets in Lawler’s face while Cole runs his mouth behind Swagger. He slaps King in the face and King loses it and tries going after him, but Swagger stops him and puts him in the ankle lock. Cole laughs in his face while King screams and holds his leg, then Cole and Swagger celebrate and leave the ring.

Randy Orton comes out and says CM Punk was right about something, and says he made a mistake by kicking him in the head two years ago. Orton says he should have kicked him harder, and he should have hurt him so bad that he would be in a home and had faith he would walk again. Punk comes out with Nexus and he calls him an arrogant and predictable hypocrite, and says he wanted Orton to show up. He says Orton would try to cripple him, but Punk is going to put him in the ground. Before they can get to each other, the GM interrupts with another email. Cole tells Josh he doesn’t want the spotlight and tells him to take this one.

Mathews reads it and it says the only way for them to settle their differences is for Punk and Orton to have a match at Wrestlemania. He follows by saying Orton will face members of the Nexus over the next few weeks, and if they win, they can be in Punk’s corner at Wrestlemania. If they lose, they will be banned from ringside, and if anyone interferes in those matches, the GM will disband Nexus. The first match is next, and it’s McGillicutty vs Orton.
