Latest Entry From Kofi Kingston’s Royal Rumble Diary

The following is an excerpt from the latest Royal Rumble diary feature by Kofi Kingston from WWE.com:

In 24 hours, the largest Royal Rumble Match ever will be a newly notated chapter in the richly detailed WWE history books. It’ll be a night in which 40 Superstars – the greatest number in history – will enter a one ring for an opportunity to dance on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Before Kofi Kingston, Intercontinental Champion and Rumble Match entrant, can even get to his 39 opponents in Boston’s TD Banknorth Garden, he’s got to tussle with tight Beantown traffic.

Following a 90-mile eastbound hike from a WWE live event in Springfield, Mass., the vivacious SmackDown Superstar rides into the city with Raw’s Yoshi Tatsu at shotgun. Kingston deposits Tatsu at his hotel downtown, passes through the tangential streets near Chinatown and crosses over two bridges to arrive at his own place of rest outside the city.

Towing a trio of baggage, the Intercontinental Champion crosses his hotel parking lot in the chilled dead of night with a more contemplative expression cast upon his ordinarily beaming face. It could be the realization of what lies ahead and the quantity of rivals, at that. Though he graciously shared a car ride with a fellow Superstar this evening, Kingston could easily find himself trading blows with Tatsu tomorrow to avert over-the-top rope elimination.
