RAW Opener:

Smackdown’s Edge is kicking off RAW, and the Rated R Superstar makes his way down to the ring and gets a mic. He tells Miz he doesn’t feel like waiting, and takes his shirt off and says a bunch of things he is sick of waiting for, then tells Miz to get out here now, before getting interrupted by an email from the GM. Cole says Edge missed that (ha!), and reads the email that says his match with Miz will be later, and they haven’t forgotten about Edge’s disrespect, and they will have an exhibition right now. Whoever can throw Edge over the top rope will get #40 in the Royal Rumble and when Cole says to the ring the bell everybody hits the ring.

Edge fights them off and eliminates Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger and Drew McIntyre to win the exhibition, then Edge gets on the mic and says thank you for the warm up. He says he is going to do something he did the last time he was here on RAW, and asks who wants to see a smashed laptop. Cole gets in his way to try and defend the laptop, until Nexus comes out (to We Are One) to distract him, and they make their way to ring.

Punk is first on the mic and he says only the strong survive, not because of strength but because they also evolve. He says the Royal Rumble has evolved making it the biggest ever, so he sees the New Nexus evolving with the inclusion of Mason Ryalen. Ryan grabs the mic and says he has only one thing to say: faith. Punk says he couldn’t have put it any better, because they are all bonded by faith unlike John Cena and "the poor man’s Nexus on Smackdown" (aka The Corre), and they want to see CM Punk win the 2011 Royal Rumble. Punk says when he wins they will become the most powerful faction in WWE, then he gets interrupted by The Corre!

Barrett says the only poor man’s group he sees is the one in front of him, and says The Corre is equal and will work together to try and win the Royal Rumble. Zeke talks next, and says they will unite, and says they will unite to eliminate Punk. Mason gets in his face and they stare off before another GM email, which says the Smackdown open invite means they still have to play by RAW’s rules. Barrett will face Punk tonight, and the loser and his whole group will be out of the Royal Rumble. And to make things juicier, the special guest referee will be someone they are all familiar with, John Cena!
