LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws announced Wednesday the first wave of promotions for the 2011 season, including Bruce Springsteen Night, the return of the ZOOperstars, two Phillie Phanatic appearances, and an appearance by wrestling legends The Iron Sheik & Nickolai Volkoff.

This announcement comes 78 days before Opening Day, and the release time enable fans to customize their own ticket packages before Opening Day.

Legendary Philadelphia Phillies mascot the Phillie Phanatic will be in attendance at FirstEnergy Park for the June 23rd and August 8th BlueClaws games.

The ZOOperstars, inflatable figures modeled after Major League athletes like Derek “Cheetah”, “Shark” McGwire, and “Centipete” Rose. The ZOOperstars will be in Lakewood on July 10th and August 17th.

Brobee and Muno from Yo Gabba Gabba will be here to pose for pictures with fans on June 26th.

The Iron Sheik and Nickolai Volkoff follow Ted DiBiase and Hacksaw Jim Duggan as the latest professional wrestlers to appear at a BlueClaws game. They will sign autographs on June 11th.

Other popular promotions return, including Bruce Springsteen Night and the BruceClaws (July 9th), Bark in the Park (May 14th), the Post-game Father/Child Catch on the Field (June 12th), the Post-game Photo on the Field (May 30th), and a Championship banner giveaway (May 1st).

Additional promotions that BlueClaws are accustomed to enjoying, such as the Famous Chicken, an autograph session with a former Major League legend, and a 2010 Mark Parent Championship Bobblehead giveaway, will be announced at a later date.
