Matt Hardy Has Surprises In 2011, Talks Future Plans

The following is an excerpt from an interview with Matt Hardy from PoughkeeppsieJournal.com:

On what his plans are for the near future.

“I had an amazing run in WWE, but it’s time to move on. I’m going to go back to having fun. I’ll be reducing my schedule a bit.”

When told that reducing his schedule sounded a lot like what his brother, TNA champion Jeff Hardy did, he laughed and said:

“I’m very busy. In the beginning of the year, I’ll have a lot of cool surprises. It’s going to be good for me. My schedule is going to be less and I’m going to be in a position to have more fun.”

When asked if there was one moment in his WWE career when he realized that the Hardy Boyz made it, Matt could not pinpoint one moment, but said:

“As weird as it seems, there wasn’t one moment. Whenever we were put with Michael P.S. Hayes, it was good. I guess, a week before we first won the tag team titles, I thought this must be working to a degree. In retrospect, I think now that we weren’t deserving. I can watch TV and see, “these guys have a lot of potential and a lot of future.” I know that from all my years there. Once we did that, I was really impressed and flattered. It was the goal and dream of mine from day one to win the tag team titles with my brother. Everything past that was just extra credit.”
