WWE Raw House Show Results (11/6): Birmingham, UK

Thanks to Dennis Glenn for sending in the following:

Show Started with R-Truth coming out to his ‘Wassup’ music to take on Alex Riley. This was a short match with R-Truth picking up the win with the Lie Detector.

Santino/Koslov took on the Usos, but before the match began Justin Roberts had an Email from the Raw General Manager, stating that as a treat for the crowd in Birmingham, we’ll have a dance off. Santino and Koslov started and did some old school dance moves to the crowds delight, but as soon as their backs were turned the Usos attacked. They worked on Koslov for most of the match til Santino was tagged in and with Koslovs help he set up the Cobra in each hand and hit both Usos with a Cobra and got the win.

Next was another short match with Zack Ryder taking on Ezekiel Jackson, they both did muscle poses to the crowd to see who looked better and obviously Big Zek won and Zack tried attacking him from behind. But all Zack got for his trouble was a Rock Bottom like slam that Jackson uses as his finisher for the win…the guy is a beast!

Goldust against Ted Dibiase was next, Goldust hid the Million Dollar belt under the ring before Ted came out. Ted refused to compete til he was given the belt but eventually the ref talked him into starting the match. Back and forth with many near falls, but in the end Goldust won with his new Curtain Call finisher.

US Title Match, Daniel Bryan defended against William Regal. The crowd was split between these two, and they showed some good technical wrestling. Regal had Bryan in the Regal Stretch for a while but Bryan made it to the ropes, a few moves and counters later, Bryan locked in the Label Lock and Regal quickly tapped out. After the match both wrestlers shook hands.

WWE Title Match, Randy Orton defending against Wade Barrett. Before the match Wade said he would win the WWE Title and John Cena would forever be Nexus. Randy came out to a HUGE pop! This was a decent match, til the ref bump. Wade got the WWE Title and hit Orton with it and made the cover but had no referee, he got on the mic and demanded John Cena come to the ring with a referee top and make the count. Cena eventually came out and madethe count but Orton kicked out at 2. Barrett then got a chair, Cena told him not to do it so Barrett demanded Cena hit Orton with chair. After hesitating for several moments Cena and Barrett argued and that gave Orton enough to time recover and Barrett walked into an RKO and Cena made the 3 count and walked off. Orton posed for pics with a few fans before Justin Roberts told us there would be a short break.

As we return from the break its 6 Diva Tag Match time…Maryse, Alicia Fox and Tamina took on Eve and the Bella Twins. I tried getting a we want puppies chant but only one section carried it on. Quite long for a divas match, back and forth with lots of grunting and screaming. Eve and the Bellas won when Twin Magic did the old Switch-a-roo and Alicia got rolled up for the 3 count.

Sheamus took on John Morrison next in what was the match of the night! Plenty of near falls and hitting most of their tradmark moves. Sheamus got the win with the Broad Kick after countering Morrison, who went for Star Ship Pain and got caught by Sheamus who had has his knees up. Morrison got a standing ovation after the match which was well deserved.

MAIN EVENT was The Miz against John Cena. Miz came out with Alex Riley, and Riley said on the mic how he does everything for the Miz cause he likes it which is why he is always be Miz’s side. Miz then talks about how he told us all he would be US Champ, Unified Tag Champ and now Mr Money In The Bank. He also talks about how he hates England before telling everyone he is awsome. John Cena hits the ring to MASSIVE pop! This was average match, near the end Miz left turnbuckle uncovered and distracted the ref as Riley threw Cena into it, then Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale but only got a 2 count. He then got the briefcase and went to hit Cena but caught Riley on the apron who was arguing with the ref and then Cena picked Miz up and hit the Double A for the win. Cena posed with fans at the end and that was it, End of Show.

Id give the show 6/10…with the loudest pops for Cena and Orton.
