UFC president Dana White revealed some big news during Wednesday’s media conference call.
In a shocking announcement, White confirmed that WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) fighters will now be recognized as UFC fighters.
The 135 and 145 pound champions in the WEC will now be recognized as official UFC champions.
It was also announced that current WEC Featherweight champion (now UFC Featherweight champion) Jose Aldo will defend his title at the UFC event on January 1.
