WNL returned to the airwaves on the SNS Radio Network on 10-18-10 with your hosts "The Raging Redneck" The TreyDawg and "Mr. Money on the Mic" JJ $exay for a special interview with WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling "Mean Gene" Okerlund. JJ and Trey started the show with Wrestlezone.com‘s Nick Paglino for another edition of "Get in the Zone" where MVP’s current direction or lack thereof was discussed as well as the latest buzz surrounding the USA Network looking to bring back WWE’s Tough Enough. After the break JJ and Trey introduced Mean Gene Okerlund to the show and topics included: How Gene broke into the business, The Origin of Mean Gene’s famous moniker, Gene discusses how cable tv changed the bussiness, The Territory system in the old days…could it work today?, Why Gene left the WWF in 1993, Funny story on Dr.D David Schultz, Working for WCW at the height of the Monday Night War, and Genes various food franchises such as Mean Genes Burgers and Mean Genes Grill. Mean Gene was a fantastic guest on the show and JJ and Trey will be bringing him back in the near future as there will literally a ton of questions left and Gene was gracious enough to give both Trey and JJ an hour of his time. After the Break The show actually went live as everything you heard was prerecored…the reason being JJ attended RAW live from the SaddleDome in Calgary, Alberta Canada and didn’t get home till well after the show started so a decision was made to pretape the entire 1st segment so that WNL wouldn’t have a delayed start time. JJ recapped RAW and even discussed the special Dark Match Main Event which was scheduled to be a fatal 4 way for the WWE Championship and turned out to be a truiple threat since Wade Barrett pulled John Cena from the match and the special guest referee was Brett the Hitman Hart. JJ discussed all the highs and lows from the show gauged the live crowd and talked about what happened during the commercial breaks and even the 2 matches that happened before RAW during the WWE Superstars taping. Trey took a few minutes to get something off his chest regarding other radio shows who are un original and steal from WNL . JJ opened the phone lines and took a few calls before jumping into the emails and wrapping the show. The show for 10-18-10 is rather extended and is like having two shows so it will be broken into 2 seperate files the show opening and Mean Gene interview is part 1 and the Live show with the RAW recap is part 2.
