Lashley/Strikeforce Update, More on Cena/’Taker At WMania

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Bobby Lashley’s contract with Strikeforce has expired, and he is currently in exclusive negotiations with the company to re-sign a deal. One of the provisions of Lashley’s contract with Strikeforce prohibits him from negotiating with any other MMA companies until the exclusive negotiating period with Strikeforce expires. Once that period is over, Lashley is free to negotiate with anyone he wants. It should be noted that Lashley’s Strikeforce deal does allow him to do pro wrestling shows, as he just returned from Japan not to long where he was wrestling.

It’s being said that despite a teased Lashley vs Batista bout by Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, the feeling right now is that the company doesn’t have a huge interest in re-signing him.

We were the first to report in an article you can read by CLICKING HERE, that early plans for The Undertaker at WrestleMania have included talks of a potential match against John Cena. In a new report by The Wrestling Observer, it’s being said that while Sheamus continues to be the leading candidate for ‘Taker’s Mania opponent, WWE officials have been seriously considering the idea of Undertaker vs Cena.
