WWE Supershow Results (St. Louis / September 18)

Report by Wes Guerrettaz

Just made it back from the recent Supershow the night before the Night of Champions PPV. I thought I’d contribute the results as it was a decent enough event for a house show.

John Morrison defeated Ted Dibiase in less than a minute. A few minutes were taken up with a dumb-ass dance-off, but I have to admit Morrison has some moves. A few punches were exchanged, Morrison kicked the Million Dollar Kid and hit the Starship Pain for the win.

The Hart Dynasty defeated The Usos via pinfall. An okay, but rather generic match. There were a couple of good spots, but nothing to write to WrestleZone about.

Melina defeated Alicia Fox in a pretty boring match and probably the worst of the night. As Melina was going to do her splits entrance in the ring Fox kicked out off. I would have been pissed if I had a front row seat with a clear view.

Kofi Kingston defeated CM Punk by pinfall. This was a pretty good match, second best of the night actually. I was surprised to see Punk lose to Kingston. Punk was interacting with the ringside audience quite a bit which is always fun.

Layla defeated Kelly Kelly via pinfall. Not as bad as the Diva’s title match mostly because of how entertaining Laycool is. Kelly Kelly wasn’t that bad either and I usually can’t stand her.

The Miz defeated Daniel Brian by pinfall. Very, very good match between the two. It had great wrestling, great pacing, and some fantastic spots. These two work very well together and hopefully their program goes on past Champions. The Miz gave a speech, but I missed it since it took like 15 minutes to get a soda.

Undertaker defeated Kane via disqualification after a kick to Undie’s nuts. It was a decent match, everyone lost their crap for ‘ol UT. It was funny seeing Undertaker taking his sweet ass time getting to the ring, but once he got past the ropes he went at Kane with a flurry of punches.

Nexus vs Big Show, Evan Bourne, Randy Orton, & John Cena

The lame and annoying GM instant message sound came up informing us that it was a 5-on-4 elimination match.

Big Show was eliminated via DQ

Evan Bourne eliminated David Otunga

Michael Tarver eliminated Evan Bourne (I think)

John Cena eliminated Michael Tarver and Justin Gabriel

Randy Orton eliminated Heath Slater and Wade Barrett

So yeah, pretty much the same match we saw on Raw a few weeks ago, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Orton and Cena shook hands and parted ways.

I was disappointed not seeing Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, or Kaval. I mean, hell, why did we need to see two separate Diva matches?! I’ve never see the giant jar of mayonnaise live. Drew McIntire was advertised for the event, but I could care less that he was wrestling since I find him boring as crap. It was an okay show, maybe a 6.5/10 mostly due to the Kingston/Punk and Miz/Brian matches.
