TNA House Show Results (9/16): York, Pennsylvania

Zach Biser sent along the following:

Hey guys, I attended the live event in York PA Thursday and boy you guys weren’t kidding about them going balls out. The show from top to bottom was superb. I put down the $50 to meet them backstage before the show. Seeing Velvet Sky and Madison up close and personal was indeed an eye-opener. Had a nice convo with Sabin about the tag team division and mcmg touring. I asked Madison if she was single and she kindly said yes and has dated too many losers (lol).

It was a rainy night here so they had the ring covered up before hand, it didn’t really help though, the wrestlers were slippin and slidin and for the first three matches it looked like anyone could’ve been injured in a heartbeat so I was a bit worried. They all pulled it off very well though and they didn’t miss a beat.

A.J. Styles vs. Jarrett. To start the night off they hyped up giving away backstage passes. I’m sure this has been done for. Finish saw Jarrett winning with the Stroke and granting fans access to backstage area. Jarrett got a nice pop from the live crowd. Solid match.

Velvet Sky vs Madison Rayne. They had a “second rope” contest if you catch what I’m saying before the match started. Typical knockout match. Finish saw Madison pinning Velvet with two feet on ropes

Rhino vs. The “Pope”. Rhino comes out to a nice pop to an ecdub friendly crowd. Pope came out to an even louder pop. This pissed off Rhino and he turned on the crowd. Rhino slipped in the middle of the ring because of rain to start off which was hilarious and a well thought out idea to use the rain. Finish saw Pope hitting the DDE for the three count after a missed Gore attempt. Good match.

Motor City Machine Guns vs Ink Inc. Both teams get a nice pop and a few “This is awesome” chants from the crowd. Finish saw the Guns winning with a double teamed super kick on Moore for the three. Afterwards all four celebrated in the ring and thanked the fans. Best match of the night.

They skipped intermission because the rain held up, or at least I think that’s why.

Samoa Joe vs Kazarian. Kaz probably flashed the fortune hand sign like 50 times during the match. Geez. Squash match here. Joe goes over with the muscle buster in about 2ish minutes and thanks the fans afterwards.

Main event – Abyss vs. Hardy Monster’s Ball. Looked about the same as the other monster’s ball matches with abyss. He no sells jeff’s offense a good bit then they get the cookie sheets and trash can lids involved, then the thumbtacks. Finish saw Jeff on the top turnbuckle fighting off Abyss into a sunset flip power bomb into the tacks then went back up to hit the swanton for the three. Jeff was way over with the live crowd here. Solid match, and got the fans what they wanted.

Afterwards Hardy stayed in the ring to take pics for $20 for anyone who wanted, while Velvet and Jarrett signed autographs at the merch table. I got to wish Velvet a good night and good luck in wilkes-barre tomorrow before I left and got a kind “thanks” in return. That made my night complete.
