WWE World Tour Results (9/12): Y2J/Edge Work as Faces

Nick Paglino

Thanks to Wesley Marquis for sending in the following:

Chris Jericho was playing a big time face today and getting the crowd involved quite a bit.  Is that a sign of things to come? Edge was also playing a major face role tonight as well. Maybe just because they’re Canadian and were playing off of that.

John Cena was not at the event which surprised a lot of people.

Earliest matches of the night were extremely short. Heath Slater is pulling his punches too soon and it was obvious that he wasn’t hitting any of his opponents with his grounded punches.

Santino Marella got a huge pop from the crowd. Then looked embarassed (as usual) about the responce. He refereed a match between Melina and Alicia Fox for the Divas Championship which was won by Melina of course.

Evan Bourne defeated Ted Dibiase in a dance off and then hit Dibiase with Air Bourne to win a quick match.

Primo Colon defeated Zack Ryder.

Goldust and Gail Kim defeated Jey Uso and Tamina.

The Miz defeated John Morrison.

Chris Jericho, Edge, and The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya defeated Nexus members Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, and Michael Tarver.

Sheamus got himself disqualified against Randy Orton.

Referee Charles Robinson loved playing to the crowd with facial expressions, etc.

Biggest heat was for Sheamus. Biggest pops were for Orton, Edge and Chris Jericho and the Hart Dynasty.
