Jim Ross Q&A: Announcing WWE PPVs, Oklahoma Football

The following are highlights from the latest Q&A from the official website of WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On becoming the radio voice for Oklahoma football: “Bob Barry, Sr. is a legend and following a legend isn’t easy. I would love to try but it’s not too likely. Being voice of Sooners would be dream job.”

On how he got his start in wrestling: “I’ve been a fan all my life but Bill Watts ‘discovered’ me promoting live events for his local promotion. I worked my way thru the system, got a break and lucky. I’ve lived my wrestling fan’s dream.”

On suggestions from fans that he should announce WWE PPVs: “That’s not in the plan but WWE knows if they need me that I can always come out of the bullpen and handle the job. I’m enjoying my career and look forward to what the future holds. Everyone will always be better off staying positive.”
