Detailed SD! Taping Fan Report: Possible Injury, Dark Match

Thanks to Andrew Board for sending in the following:

Alberto Del Rio beat JD Something (didn’t catch his last name) in a dark match. He won with a nice looking enzuguri to JD as he sat on the top rope.

During the Battle Royal on NXT, Alex Riley left the ring and was looked at by the medical staff next to the ring announcers. It looked like he may have been bleeding from his head or his neck. He got back in the ring for a minute and was promptly eliminated and then went right back to the medical staff for the rest of the match.

Superstars matches were Chavo beating JTG with a frog splash and Vance Archer/Curt Hawkins beating some jobbers in a squash when Hawkins hit a flying elbow from the top rope. Archer hit one guy with a hard clothesline that sent him spinning through the air.

After Big Show took away Punk’s mask he put it on and pretended to be a superhero. He pretended to fly and posed for the crowd before heading backstage.

Right before the Swagger/Kane segment we saw some stage hands move a stretcher that had been sitting backstage behind the curtain on stage left so I figured Swagger’s dad was the one that was going to be taken out. Sure enough it happened.

The Dark Match Main Event was a cage match between Mysterio and Swagger. The ring crew set up the cage rather quickly. It looked very unstable and unsafe to climb. Mysterio won with a splash from the top rope in a somewhat short match to send everyone home happy.

After the show I went out back by where they were loading the trucks and the wrestlers were leaving. A bunch of wrestlers walked by but the only one I saw actually sign autographs was Kane who was very nice. Dolph Ziggler took a quick picture with a fan and then left with Christian.

Luke Gallows came out with Joey Mercury who wasn’t wearing his mask. CM Punk also wasn’t wearing his mask. I saw Morrison talking with Miz but they left in different cars. We also saw Drew McIntyre, Serena, and Vickie who left in a car by herself. A bunch of children were waiting for Mysterio but we never saw him. Not sure if he left early or not but we stayed until security told us that all the wrestlers had left.

Overall it was a good show. They blocked off half of the upper section and there was no where near as many people as when Raw came last year. Overall it was a good show.
