Big Update on Ricky Steamboat’s Condition: Burst Capillary

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat actually suffered a burst capillary which caused the bleeding in the brain. A recent angiogram revealed the burst, which turned out NOT to be an aneurysm as originally thought. At this point, Steamboat will be kept in the hospital for another 5 days, at which time he will be given another angiogram to see how he’s recovering. It should be noted that WWE doctor’s who examined Steamboat after Monday night felt that the injury was not sustained as a result of the Nexus attack.

PWInsider.com provided another update on Steamboat’s condition on 7/5, noting that all signs point to a complete recovery for Ricky, and that WWE is hopeful that he will be resuming his backstage duties with the company in the near future.

Update on 7/8: Jim Ross has posted the following on his Twitter account: "Steamboat out of ICU and should be released from Tampa hospital in a few days. Should be good to go in a month."
