Eric Young is walking backstage with Kevin Nash and Nash says things got out of control and he needs to distance himself from Hall. He says EY is new to this but Nash has done it for 15 years, and he doesn’t want Hall to fall on EY. Nash makes a crack about EY’s shoes and then they embrace and EY walks down the hallway.

Matt Morgan comes out to the ring and he says he told you so, and goes around pointing at fans saying he told them too. He says he told everyone he would leave Slammiversary a winner, and he is not worried about Hernandez. He says to prove it he is calling out Hernandez, and he is sick of being jumped and he wants to see what kind of man Hernandez is right now. The announcers are saying he is in Mexico and that is why he is not coming out, and Morgan says Hernandez sweats Morgan, not the other way around.

Morgan says he jumped at the chance for a Steel Cage match at Victory Road, and he will beat his head in. He says he will show up the next Impact and says the same thing, I told you so. His music hits and when he is taunting the crowd Homicide comes from behind him and attacks him. Morgan bails outside the ring and Homicide jumps at him. Morgan sees him coming and hits him in the stomach, and then hits the Carbon Footprint on Homicide into the ringpost. Homicide is out cold and Morgan screams at him that this is nothing compared to what he will do to Hernandez at Victory Road.

Backstage AJ Styles is trying to catch up with Ric Flair and Flair is pissed about Styles asking about a package. He says he is sick about hearing about the package and tells AJ they have a gameplan to stick to. AJ says OK, and says "he" is around so they need to be careful.
