Thanks to Jamie Patton for sending in the following report:

TNA House Show Results from Huntington, WV  4-10-10

Jeremy Borash came out to hype the crowd.

Machine Guns vs Homicide and Kendrick:

Crowd started a nice "Spanky Sucks" chant that got Kendrick hot.  Pretty good match.  Guns win with the falling neckbreaker.  The Guns were way over.

JB announces does an intro for Hebner  but Eric Bischoff comes through the curtain He cuts a heel promo saying he sent Angle home and Jarrett would face Beer Money alone with Bischoff as referee.  (Angle was signing autographs in front of the building prior to the show.)

Okada (who?) vs. Kazarian

The crowd didn’t know who Okada was.  USA chant breaks out.  Kaz wins with a with an incredible reverse tombstone piledriver.

Earl Hebner comes out for real.

Beautiful People (with Lacey) vs Love and Tara

Beautiful People won when Velvet sprayed something in Tara’s eyes and Madison rolled her up.  Tara and Angelina argued for a second after the match.  Lots of interference in the BP corner during the match.  Great match that showed how pathetic the WWE Divas are.

Styles vs the Pope

Pope got a huge pop (which was at least 15% me and my buddy Josh).  Styles got mad respect but also heat.  He cut the typical heel anti-WV hillbilly promo.  The crowd was way into this one.  Styles drew major heat after the promo and the Pope had the crowd firmly on his side.  Styles won with the Clash.  Best match I’ve ever seen live.  We sang happy birthday to Pope after the match at JBs urging.

Intermission – The Beautiful people signed autographs at the table.  The line stretched all the way around the arena.  There was HEAVY security around the BPs.

Desmond Wolfe vs Eric Young

Wolfe cuts an anti-USA promo.  EY looks huge in person but didn’t get much of a reaction upon entering.  Short match.  EY wins with a reverse roll up.

Jarrett and Angle vs Beer Money

Bischoff comes out to ref still saying it’s handicapped. Beer Money cuts a good heel promo.  Jarrett comes out alone bit Angle eventually showed up.  Jarrett knocked out Bischoff, a new ref ran down, and Angle pinned Rude with the Angle slam.  Then both Jarrett and Angle beat up Bischoff.

After the show the Pope signed autographs at the table.  He was a super nice guy to everyone there and even kissed a young lady on the cheek for her birthday.  He took the time to talk to my buddy and I as well as everyone else.

As this was going on we could hear Jarrett in the ring talking about the Upper Big Branch Mine Disaster.  He announced that fans could come into the ring and take a picture with him for $20 and all of the proceeds would go to the families of the miners.  In addition he would match dollar for dollar what was collected.  (Angle did the same thing outside before the show.)

Also during this time all of the faces, including the Guns, EY, Okada, and Kazarian, came out to sign autographs for anyone who wanted one.  They were all super nice and took time for each fan, posing for pictures and chatting.

As we left the arena Earl Hebner was at the merchandise table signing his shirt.  I asked him to sign for me and he said "Of course" and waved me over.  I snapped his picture but it came out blurry and he was nice enough to take another.  I shook his hand and he thanked me.

Biggest pops

1) The Pope

2) Angle

3) the Machine Guns

Biggest Heat:

1) Styles

2) Wolfe’s anti-USA rant

3) Bischoffs second entrance

One of the best live events I’ve ever been to.  It was much better than the independent shows that come around here with guys who are washed up and haven’t been relevant for 25 years.
