Off-Air Raw Notes: Who Saved Bret?, WWE Title Match, More

Thanks to Michael Davis for sending this in:

Thought I would give you guys an update on what happened after the cameras went off last night at RAW.  John Cena came out right as the cameras went off and that sent Batista and Vince scattering out of the ring.  Cena helped Bret up and lifted his arm to the crowd out of respect which got a major POP! from the crowd.  Afterwards, Bret Hart’s music started playing and he left the ring shaking hands and talking with folks along the ramp.  Then when he gets to the top of the ramp, he salutes the crowd again getting another huge POP! and heads backstage.  Cena, still in the ring is joined by Justin who announces that Cena will challenge Sheamus for the WWE Title RIGHT NOW!  Another huge POP!!! and here comes Sheamus!  The match gets underway and is actually Very Good!  After a few minutes of a great match which Cena has control of mostly, Batista comes out again to help Sheamus and this automatically DQ’a Sheamus.  Batista basically has his way with Cena, throwing him into the ring stairs and onto the broadcast table chairs.  Then he hits Cena while he’s down with the top half of the ring stairs and throws the bottom half of the stairs in the ring.  Cena is able to gather some life and the two are in the ring duking it out when Batista just overwhelms Cena and eventually picks him up.  Batista then goes on to "Batista Bomb" Cena onto the aluminum ring steps he threw in the ring earlier.  It really looked scary seeing Cena’s limp body just bounce off those hard steps.  The crowd was booing so loud, it was hard to talk to the person next to you.  They announce that Cena is the winner by DQ but the title stays with Sheamus.  Sheamus eventually gets up after being knocked out of the ring earlier and taunts the crowd.  Batista returns to the back with huge BOO’S!  Cena is awake by now and gives Sheamus an "Attitude Adjustment", HUGE POP!  Cena does his thing in the ring and both me eventually make their way to the back while Justin thanks everyone for their enthusiastic spirit tonight and promises a return to Music City very soon!  Overall, a very loud and vocal crowd who was in Cena’s corner most of the night.  Had a pay-per-view feel to it to be real honest!!
