Backstage: Cody Rhodes Talks w/ Randy Orton
From there we go to another lengthy backstage interview. Here Randy Orton is in his locker room and Cody Rhodes is telling him a long sob-story and telling him he has his back and he wants to make sure Orton knows it. He says the thing is, he can’t say the same for Ted DiBiase. He says since his movie came out he hasn’t been the same. Orton does his stare thing. We head back to the ring.
United States Title:
-The Miz (c) vs. MVP
Pretty good match. MVP dominates the entire time. Finish comes with The Miz rolling up MVP out of nowhere for the pinfall and the victory.
Winner and STILL United States Champion: The Miz
After The Match: MVP Attacks Miz
After the match, Miz gets his title and brags and boasts in MVP’s face. MVP doesn’t appreciate it and hits the Playmaker on Miz and walks off.
Backstage: Big Show, Chris Jericho & R-Truth
Backstage we see Big Show and Chris Jericho meet up. Big Show tells Jericho he’s jealous. Jericho asks what he’d be jealous of. Big Show says the fact that Miz is a better partner than him. Jericho tells Miz he’s just using him and he has to see it. Big Show says he sees it, the same way he did when Jericho did it to him. Jericho says he made him into a giant destroyer. Big Show says he already was one. Jericho says if it comes down to him, Big Show and Miz in the Rumble, he knows Big Show will show his true loyalty. Big Show says if it comes down to those three, he’s going to throw both of them out. When he finishes saying that, R-Truth walks up and says "and if he don’t, I will." Jericho asks if R-Truth is gonna throw him out of the Rumble. Jericho says if he wants to he’ll have to go through the Big Show first. He turns around and Big Show isn’t there anymore. R-Truth tells Jericho he’s going to win tonight and that’s the truth. Jericho says he’s going to WrestleMania – and that’s the truth.
