TNA Genesis Opener:
Typical bad-ass video package opens the show.
From there we shoot live to the arena. We get some pyro before Mike Tenay makes his official introduction on commentary.
In-Ring: Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff
From there we go straight to Hulk Hogan’s music. Out comes Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. As Hogan and Bischoff are entering the ring, Brooke Hogan and Hulk’s girlfriend are shown in the audience. Hogan welcomes us to the brand new Impact Zone. The crowd boo’s, lol. "We want six-sides!" chant from the crowd completely silences Hogan. That was hilarious. Hogan says they had six-sides before and it only took them so far. Hogan says no more six-sides, no more eight sides, this is where professional wrestling was made to be done. Crowd is still boo’ing badly at this. Wow this is turning into a train wreck. Hogan mentions his "competitor" and how he only refers to it as sports entertainment. He’s pulling out the big guns to stay babyface now. He does some cheap pop stuff and quickly has Bischoff take over. Bischoff talks about how the new ring symbolizes change and tells us to get used to change – because there’s a lot more coming our way. Hogan closes with "whatcha gonna do — VINCE MCMAHON – now that TNA is coming at you, brother….or sister!" Music hits and out go Hogan and Bischoff.
X-Division Title:
-Amazing Red (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
Red comes to defend his title against an unnamed opponent. Brian Kendrick’s music hits and a big pop erupts from the Impact Zone. Our X-title match is underway. "Brian Kendrick!" chant from the crowd. Lots of big spots a few minutes into this match, including a huge summersault dive from Red onto Kendrick on the floor in front of Brooke Hogan. Lots of back and forth action, with Kendrick ultimately having an advantage throughout the match. Red is selling his leg late in the match. Red hits his Code Red finisher out of nowhere for the pin. He continues to sell the leg after the match.
