Thanks to the following readers for sending along the following recaps of the WWE-themed episode of Southpark:
Wyatt Foth sent along the following: The show opened with the boys going to a WWE show in Denver. The show gives the boys the idea to make their own wrestling promotion. They spoof several WWE hall of famers like Volkoff, Stone Cold, SGT. Slaughter and some modern super stars like Baista, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, and Rey Mysterio. The point of the episode was that the WWE is more focused on scripted drama than actual wrestling and physical ability.
Benjamin Teacher sent along the following: Just seen the new South Park episode titled W.T.F (Wrestling Takedown Federation). Beginning with a segment involving everyone from South Park watching a live WWE Event in Colorado, with Edge & John Cena arguing in the ring before brawling. All the boys decide to join the Wrestling Club in school the next day, only to find out it’s not what they were expecting. They then create their own "organisation" Wrestling Takedown Federation and start openly performing monologues as if it were WWE, with more acting than actual wrestling. Eventually, the whole town start turning up for shows and Vince McMahon turns up bpersonally to scout for new talent. As a South Park & WWE fan, this episode is bang on to a tee & very funny. Any fan of either MUST see it.
