Hello, I just wanted to give you guys an update on the Smackdown/ECW live event held at Viking Hall Civic Center in Bristol, TN on Saturday night. The crowd was very hot throughout the show and the matches were all very entertaining.
The first match of the night was Cryme Tyme defeating The Hart Dynasty in a very good match. The Hart Dynasty is excellent at working a live crowd and drawing heat. Also Natalya is absolutely beautiful in person. Television doesn’t do her or the rest of the divas justice. My only complaint was that I’m tired of WWE continually feeding The Hart Dynasty to Cryme Tyme. THD could be absolutely huge if booked correctly. This is only my opinion of course.
The next segment was the Abraham Washington Show with his special guest Rey Mysterio who makes the entire arena roar with excitement (except for me…sorry I just can’t bring myself to like him). Mysterio comes to the ring and Washington immediately starts making fun of Mysterio’s size. He asks the crowd if there are any parents who are missing a child wearing Rey Mysterio merchandise. He then asks Rey if he is big enough to ride any of the rides at Disney World. This was a very funny segment. Washington then introduces his next guest…CM Punk! Punk also starts making fun of Mysterio. This leads to a brawl that sets up the main event for later that night.
Next match featured R-Truth versus Drew McIntyre. R-Truth defeated McIntyre which I thought was a little surprising considering McIntyre’s current push but I chalked it up to keeping the fans happy since it wasn’t a televised event. Again, I was apparently the only one not happy with the result.
