Okay, I know the Rev. All Sharpton has been involved in racial/civil right movement situations for a while and we hate to see him stick his nose where it doesn’t belong (ex: the NCAA women’s basketball/Don Imus) but I was 100% sick to my stomach when he was booed talking about how education needs to be reformed and that we need to get the dropout rates down. The crowd booed him. BOOED HIM! It is a good thing that he was promoting.
As a teacher, I agree that the dropout rates need looked at and there needs to be a way to get those numbers down. I even saw that MVP and Jericho were trying to change the views of the crowd too. MVP reiterating his points and Jericho just bashing them for being ignorant from birth to death. In a way, all four of them (5 counting Rev. Al) were all together on that issue of education reform. Just sick.
This was no storyline, this is not CM Punk and him coming out telling everyone that he is better than all of us (which I think that accounts for something), it is all true and the people booed him for it. This goes in the wrong call file.
